Question 3- What kind of media institution might distribute your media product and why?
By definition, the entire media institution is an established organisation that deals with the creation and strewing of the chosen media product. This specific institution (films) consist of two parts: the production company and distribution company. A production company and its members are those responsible for the development and physical manufacturing of any media product, not just that of films. A distribution company, on the other hand, are in control of delivering the movie into cinemas whilst also dispersing large marketing campaigns in order to draw the attention of the general public towards the media product. Examples of these include organisations such as Universal, Warner Bros. and Paramount, who are more likely to show off their new film product in international cinemas. Then, a couple of months after the films release, they will develop their products unto further ways of delivering them to the public, like DVD and Blu-ray, television film programmes such as Film4 and the Sky Movies channels, and most recently onto online movie stores such as Netflicks and the Xbox online marketplace.
