PRACTICE SHOTS
In this we demonstrated building tension, we did this by not showing the killers face until the end also by using gaps of silence in the non-diegetic sound helped it build. We also dressed the killer in black and the victim in white showing the struggle between good and evil. We used a wide variety of camera angles including; long-shots, mid-shots, close ups, and extreme close ups, this variety helped us show fear and mystery. We filmed this in the light of day, so in editing we tweaked the visual footage to make it seem like it is darker and to give it a more diversely freaky atmosphere. The video effect also helped us hide the killers face so it would build suspense and compliment the twist ending. The sound track over the whole thing was music used in a horror video game that fitted perfectly with the shots and gave a very creepy undertone to the whole thing. We repeatedly used point of view shots to really immerse the viewer with the short film.
