PRELIMINARY TASK
For our preliminary task we had to film a character open a door and enter a room. This preliminary task depicts a boy that turns up to his class late and the teacher confronts him about this issue. After a short argument, the boy sees his chance and the scene ends with him storming out. The equipment we used included a tri-pod and a camera. The location consisted of an empty class room in our school and the hall way up to the class room. In this we used many different camera angles, but we also demonstrated how not to do the 180 degree rule. In this the camera moved from one side of the scene to the other one.
We repeated the preliminary task a second time to demonstrate how the 180 degree rule should be done. The 180 degree rule is where the camera is always within 180 degrees). The scene includes a shot-reverse-shot, mid-shots, over the shoulder shots and two panning shots, using the same plot we used for our 'how not to' video we did last time.
